We are now stockinst of Zeal sunglasses. The key aspect is the unique lens tint (ZB13) combined with the polarised filter, the specially blended ’sepia’ lens colour gives a more versatile range of use than the typical grey or brown sunglass lenses, as the tint allows the wearer’s eyes to adjust more easily to changing light conditions, providing more balanced vision across different conditions.
When combined with the polarised filter (that cuts glare/reflected light) you are able to obtain a much clearer, sharper, better defined level of vision and optical clarity. It adds additional glare protection in strong light and helps improve detail and definition in poorer light - all making the ZB13 polarised lenses much more versatile in a wider range of conditions and over a wider range of terrain than typical grey or brown (polarised or non-polarised) sunglasses. Also this does away with the need for additional lens sets.
Additional USP’s are:
Lifetime warranty
Crash replacement
Hard case included
Prescription lens options.
Some frames now made using 30% recycled materials
Here’s a link to the lens technology info on the main Zeal website.
For those of you visiting the Outdoor Lifestyle Show in early July (www.outdoorlifestlyeshow.co.uk) there is the opportunity to have a go at Nordic Walking. This is an excellent way of enjoying the outdoors whilst giving your whole body a good workout. Frodo
I am assuming that you intend to do all foutreen mountains non stop and that you will be carrying minimum suvival equipment and food etc. I am also assuming that you will be supported by a back up team to meet you in each of the valleys. If this is the case and you are used to fell or trail running and therefore have strong ankles then the trail shoes have advantages of weight but no ankle support.
If you intend to carry a larger pack with some overnight equipment etc and will have no backup then my advice would be to go with the boots.
Just to remind you that the record for climbing every 3000ft peak in Wales is just a few minutes over four hours so I expect a young fit man like you to fly round!!

In this section we will, from time to time, introduce new products that are on the market that we will stock or are thinking of stocking. We would also be happy to share our view here about products our customers would like our opinion on. the first review will be on a new sock range from a company called Teko. Crap name - dont you think but is it a good product find out in the next few days.
Well here goes, the first entry in our new blog. We decided to have a blog as part of our site because we get asked so many questions in the shop that we thought it would be useful to share the information.
Who knows where all this will take us?
What you will get if you visit us is OUR view on products, manufacturers and a whole range of outdoor related matters. We do not apologies for being completely biased in our opinions but we hope you will accept that it will be an opinion based on experience and knowledge gained from years of being out there and of running an outdoor store.
We will keep you up to date on new products in the shop and our view on new products by manufacturers. And..we will try and make it fun.
Getting a new initiative is very difficult so please be gentle with us whilst we become familiar with new technology and, hopefully, over the coming weeks we will start to share some good stuff.
One rule we will have is that we WILL NOT use the blog to push special promotions or stock clearances. We have taken the step to have a blog to create a vehicle for sharing knowledge.
